Stop smoking or at least follow the "No Smoking" sign.
Do not use CFC products
If you have nothing good to say, shut up!
Use unleaded gasoline in your cars.
Don't blow your horn if it's not needed
Be critical to companies not following the CLEAN AIR act
Do not urinate in the swimming pool or beach
Attend to the needs of your pets to avoid too much barking or other loud noise
Set your speaker volume to a level that is not affecting your neighbors.
        Alternative fuel sources for cars
Stop dumping into our sewer drains to the ocean
Do not litter on the highway or in any roads including "eskinitas"
Stop corporations from dumping their toxins in rivers and land
        Better / more public transportation
        Recycle our used goods
Replace your light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs
        Buy electricity from renewable source
        Buy energy-efficient appliances
        Support green organizations
        Build treatment plants for sewage
Have industries build plants to treat their wastes
        Use timers for aircons
When using aircons, use curtain to block sunlight
Use glass walls and windows when possible to utilize sunlight
Give unwanted things to other people instead of throwing away.
Take a shower instead of using the bathtub
Use a pail of water instead of taking a shower
Keep your car properly maintained to keep it in good running condition to avoid smoke emissions.
Share a ride or engage in car pooling.
Instead of using your cars, choose to walk or ride a bicycle whenever possible. With this eco-friendly practice, you will also be healthier and         happier by staying fit.
Never use open fires to dispose of wastes.
Adopt the 3Rs of solid waste management: reduce, reuse and recycle. Inorganic materials such as metals, glass and plastic; also organic         materials like paper, can be reclaimed and recycled.
Start composting brown leaves in your yard and green scraps from your kitchen. It will reduce waste while improving your yard and garden         soils.
Reconnect with nature. Live green by using green power supplied abundantly and freely by wind and the sun. Hang your laundry to dry to         minimize use of gas or electricity from your dryers. Enjoy fresh air from open windows to lessen the use of air conditioning system.
Patronize local foods and goods. In this manner, transporting goods and foods prepared with GMOs which uses fuel from conventional             energy sources will be minimized.

Use eco-friendly or biodegradable materials instead of plastic which are made up of highly toxic substances injurious to your health.
Create your green space. Value your garden. Plant more trees and put indoor plants in your homes. They clean the air, provide oxygen and beautify your surroundings. Thus, care for them and by protecting them, especially the big trees around and in the forest, you protect yourself and your family, too.
Have a proper waste disposal system especially for toxic wastes this includes garage companies
Take very good care of your pets and their wastes.
Never throw, run or drain or dispose into the water, air, or land any substance in solid, liquid or gaseous form that shall cause pollution.
Do not cause loud noises and unwanted sounds to avoid noise pollution.
Do not litter in public places. Anti-litter campaigns can educate the community.
Industries should use fuel with lower sulfur content.
Industries should monitor their air emissions regularly and take measures to ensure compliance with the prescribed emission standards.
Industries should strictly follow applicable government regulations on pollution control.
Organic waste should be dumped in places far from residential areas.
Throw trash in the proper places.
Because of water run-off, don't put oils down the storm drain.
Cut the plastic ties on sodas so they don't hurt animals in case the ties in up in the bay.
Say a big "NO" to GMOs or genetically modified organisms. Genetically engineered crops are not only bad for the environment since they         require massive amount of fungicides, pesticides, and herbicides; but GMO altered foods are also health risks and negatively impact                 farmers' livelihood.

50 IDEAS FOR THE GREEN INNOVATION PROJECT
Topic: Traffic
1.     Use bicycles
2.     Double-decker Buses
3.     Inter-connected buildings (example: Ayala Walkways)
4.     Shuttles within business districts
5.     Bus stops with time of arrival and departure
6.     No more vendors along sidewalks or passage way for people
7.     More MRT / LRT routes (example: Ayala - Parañaque, Pampanga – Ayala)
8.     More flyovers
9.     More boats to utilize waterways in Manila (Pasig River, Marikina River, etc.)
10. Underground Railways / Subways
11. Mall-to-Mall cable cars
12. Highways that can connect Quezon City and Parañaque
13. Walkalators (like in airports)
14. NO more motorcycles (or have a designated lane for them that is separated from all vehicles)
15. More overpass/underpass (just like the ones we have in Ayala) for people so that traffic would not be disrupted for their crossings
16. NO more pedicabs or tricycles in major thoroughfares
17. Give real exam before issuing a driver's license - -be strict in issuing driver's license.
18. Aside from number coding for all vehicles, there should also be a 1 Public Transportation Policy per day (example: Mondays – no taxis, Tuesdays – no buses, etc.)
19. More helipads to accommodate more helicopters as shuttles (assuming that gasoline prices would go down)
20. Ziplines
21. Swim to work (for those living near waterways)
22. Housing near offices or schools to encourage walking
23. Hot air balloons
24. Zorb ball along rivers
25. Teleportation (or Flu Powder used in Harry Potter)
26. WALK!
27. A policy for each family – for every 2 kids, a family may only be allowed to have 2 private vehicles
28. Plan trips ahead of time to avoid congested streets, this way, other streets or roads would be utilized
29. For public transportation, they should have an exclusive lane just for them and these lanes can be time-based, meaning -  these lanes are exclusive during certain times (peak periods) and reverting to mixed-flow or parking lanes at other times.
30. NO parking on either side of main thoroughfares especially national roads and highways, city roads, and other streets that are main routes for public transportation.
31. Carpool with friends or colleagues if you are to go to the same vicinity so that fewer cars would be used.
32. Jet back packs so that each person would not have to rely on cars
33. Use of roller blades, roller skates, & skate boards
34. Use shifting of work hours for the people so that the volume of cars would be distributed (example: 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm shifts)
35. All roads to have minimum of 4 lanes
36. Real time traffic updates utilizing mobile phones - - this will help the motorists to look for alternative routes that will lessen the congested roads.
37.  Limit 1 road construction per area or per city if possible .
38. Companies allowing their employees to WORK FROM HOME - - this will lessen the # of people who will go out the streets to go to work (less people, less vehicles needed, less traffic)
39. Implement a NO PRIVATE VEHICLE policy - - this will push the people to utilize mass transportation that will stop the excessive car use.
40. Widening of sidewalks will encourage commuters that it's safer to walk than to ride.
41. Allot ample time in going to work - - leaving the house before or after rush hour.
42. Let's bring back the "classic" times - - use Kalesa as means of transportation instead of tricycles.
43. Support the GREEN transportation for land, sea, and sky - - this will not only lessen the traffic but will also lessen the pollution.
44. Let's encourage everyone to live a healthy life - - if we can walk let's also RUN
45. For short travels (1 or 2 stations away) – provide separate rails for trolley users so that they will not share railways with the big trains.
46. Aside from our mobile phones we can also used GPS device with LIVE traffic updates.
47. Bring the "magic carpet ride" concept in to reality.
48. Imposing that cars should never be given as gift  - - meaning only people who has the means to afford a car should have one.
49. Limit the # of public vehicles travelling for a certain route - - Let's say only 1 bus from this company will travel the route of Fairview, QC to Baclaran & vice versa.
50. Better information & a bunch of discipline for all transport users, be they pedestrians, in public or private transportation, to allow them to make better judgments. Traffic flows can be smoothed, and so congestion removed, with better information.

17.      Develop further the technology of electric power cars
18.      Increase the number of railways especially those transporting inside the city
19.      Develop the skateboard as a good means of transportation
20.      Increase the use of horses and carabaos as a means of transportation
21.      To encourage people to walk, walkways and bike lanes should be created throughout Metro Manila in major roads (walkway along C5, EDSA, etc.)
22.      Develop a low interest loan for the replacement of our current jeeps to the Ecojeeps
23.      Use of light energy powered mini buses to minimize the use of gasoline
24.      Use of rechargeable scooter in metropolitan areas to lessen conjestion of public utility cars
25.      Employees of all levels are required to travel via carpool; no private cars to avoid traffic and minimize smoke emissions
26.      Increase the efficiency of food delivery services such that those using motorcycles and other means of transportation using gasoline are traveling the least distance
27.      Decrease available parking areas around the Metro to discourage use of private cars
28.      Shipping is the least environmentally damaging form of transportation; therefore, travel by sea will be prioritized over travel via air and land
29.      MMDA should implement laws that jeepneys should not go if it is not yet full
30.      Public utility vehicles should have a separate and exclusive lane to avoid traffic (ex is 1 lane for jeep, 1 lane for bus, etc)
31.      Replace trains with pressure powered ones instead of diesel
32.      Increase the efficiency of buses by using the numbering system similar to that being used in other countries (a particular number can only make a stop on a particular bus stop)
33.      The introduction of water-powered airplanes should be developed
34.      Huge solar cell electric power for ships that can also store energy for the night time
35.      Pasig river should be regularly cleaned for the ferries that are easily broken down by waste
