The President announced twin flood control projects: one in Bulacan involving PHP 2.2 bilion 8 km embankment and one in Marikina and a 5,000 cubic meter water retard project
DBM announced that flood control projects will increase up to PHP l7.489 billion in 2013, up from
PHP 12.326 billion or 42% higher
Then there is the EFCOS (Effective Flood Control Operation) by MMDA and DOST
We hope these all work and mitigate future flooding. But with 660 mm of rainfall in 2 days, can our resources match that much rainfall? I do not think that is in their books yet?
