NU 12- New Business Ideas: Surrogate for Hire by Highlander
NU 12- New Business Ideas: Surrogate for Hire by Highlander
Although Surrogacy is not yet legal in the Philippines. This is a potential money maker. There are many childless couples who want children and are unwilling to adopt. For one reason or another, these couples have problems getting pregnant.
One solution is a surrogate. Someone who will carry your baby for 9 months, deliver, turn over your baby to you without hassles or future impediments. These surrogates have a contract with you for services rendered, and will not hassle you in the future. A woman can make money this way, and specially the broker or company and for a certain fee will match the couple with the surrogate. The broker or agency should have a roster of reliable surrogates for employment. And the agency will earn percentages aside from a fee from the couples previously agreed upon, specially if the pregnancy has been successfully delivered. < meron na po nito; di lang hayagan, di lang sa sine>
You may find this weird or extreme. But hey, it is a business idea.

NU 12- New Spending Habits/ Routine by Highlander
NU 12- New Spending Habits/ Routine by Highlander
Be Kind to Yourself.
I am a woman who hates to shop! Yes, that's right. I was brought up by frugal parents, not to mention my Scottish heritage. So we pretty much don't let anything go to waste.
My Spending Habits:
- I wear dresses that I've had for the past 5 years
- I wear hand-me-downs
- When I shop, I have a specific item in mind to buy. Once I purchase it I get out of the mall.
- My bed is old which I've been using since I was 5 years old. It doesn't help my back, since I have already had spine surgery done.
- I used to drive a second hand car, I purchased from my father's estate.
I've pretty been frugal with myself. My husband has told me time and again that I deserved better.
Finally, when I turned 40 I rewarded myself for my hard work and giving myself my due. I realized I should treat myself better. So, I went out and bought my dream car as a 40 year old present to myself. I also bought an orthopaedic bed for my back, my comfort & better sleep.
I have not been ostentatious. My spending habits are very practical. I buy what I need. And I buy quality. I buy "Value for Money". But what is new? I give better value to myself, and buy what I need and the same time being kind and rewarding myself. 3
NU 12- New Product/ Improvement Peanut Flavored Rat Killers by Highlander
NU 12- New Product/ Improvement on Rat Killers
by Highlander
Peanut Butter Rat Killers! (Say What?!) When I tell people on how to best kill rats, they do a double take look at me as if I were crazy.
But it works! I've done it, tried it! This is not for the faint hearted.
And this has been proven (by me) to work best on rat infestation.
I'm not talking about mice, but rats as big as kittens or even bigger.
What to do:
Mix your rat Killer powder or granules with PEANUT BUTTER! Place enough peanut butter to cover the colour and traces of your rat killer and place it on a slice of bread. Leave it out in areas of your home where you know the rats paths are.
Make sure there are no children about that might accidentally eat the bread!
The Peanut Butter masks and attracts the rats.
Within the next 2 weeks, you will start finding dead rats.
My suggestion: make peanut butter flavoured rat killers! 4

NU 12- What pisses me off at AGSB by Highlander
NU 12- What pisses me off at AGSB by Highlander
In general my stay in AGSB has been pleasant. The environment, professors, quality of education is wonderful. But as they say, nothing is ever perfect. My comments here are purely constructive criticism, however minor.
My classmates and I are generally fun people. We love to get together, eat together, etc. I'm sure you get the picture. There are only some things that bother us:
What must be done:
Our joys are simple. Food and Coffee. That all folks! 3.5
- We only know of 1 coffee machine. And that's on the 3rd floor at the other end of the building. For caffeine junkies like us, it irritates us that we either have to get our coffee at starbuck's before going to class (fat chance of getting a refill immediately) , go all the way down to the canteen or 3rd floor to get a cup of java. What's with that?
- The meals at the canteen are reasonable but lack variety. I wouldn't describe it exactly as healthy. They definitely don't serve vegetables often, and when they do it's been overcooked and massacred. We have never seen them serve healthy salads or have a selection of fruits available. The lack of fiber is also disturbing.
What must be done:
- Add more coffee machines, or at least add 1 at the 2nd floor near the registrar's office.
- Make a new menu for the canteen, with emphasis in providing a more healthy array of choices of food.
Our joys are simple. Food and Coffee. That all folks! 3.5

NU 12- What pisses me off in the neighbourhood by Highlander
NU 12- What pisses me off in the neighbourhood by Highlander
The holiday season gives one a lot to ponder on one's neighbours.
Parties are happening practically everyday. And in my neighbour's house, it can go on for several days.
I don't mind a good party, but really they tend to forget there are other people living nearby. So what to they do?
They sing karaoke non-stop until the wee hours of the morning. I have insomnia and this doesn't help matters.
What is worse, there voices are Blah.. Blah… Blah.. No tone, No pitch, No singing voice to speak of.
I may sound crabby, but this incessant partying starts on Dec 23 and goes on until Jan 2 on a daily basis!
There were so many occasions that I asked them to lower the music.
What I suggest:
- The subdivision officials to place a sound level limit.
- No noise after 1 am
- My neighbour's family to get signing lessons!
Result:
- A more peaceful co-existence
- I don't have to constant fight the urge to fire a gun! ( Don't worry, I won't use any of them for target practice)3

Ever notice the bathrooms in the major malls in Manila and other Provinces? They are widely spaced, and the distances would actually make anyone pee or poop in their pants before they could get to the bathroom.
- Bathrooms are usually placed in both ends of the mall, and nothing in between
- They prevent establishments from placing bathrooms in their store
- There are usually long lines to get into any of the water closet stalls
- There are malls that cannot keep the cleanliness factor up for the entire day.
- A lot of them don't have toilet paper
What I suggest:
- Place more bathrooms in the middle and both ends
- Allow establishments to place their own bathrooms
- Have bathrooms attendants available to maintain cleanliness and to keep it well stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels
Result:
- This will lessen the lines of waiting for use of the water closet
- Customers don't have to walk so far before achieving "Relief"
- This increases customer satisfaction. Personally, I'd prefer to go to a mall with accessible and clean water closets. 3
