NU 12 Week 11 - What pisses you off at AGSB? (Revised)

Camille A. Dela Cruz

What greatly pisses me off at AGSB is the cafeteria offers extremely minimal food choices. Other than the local/homegrown canteen
that offers home cooked meals, there are only four concessionaires available - The Sandwich Guy, Fruitas, Don Henderico's Pizza and Milk Tea.
Sometimes students have to walk far towards the nearest establishments like power plant mall just to satisfy normal cravings that a canteen
should provide.
I suggest that the school should provide more food alternatives to its students and employees after all food is what keeps the mind working and
healthy. If not enough food is provided this can lead to the reduction of attention span and productivity of students or employees. To align the solution
to what I learned in my entrepreneurship class, I suggest that the school should tie up the opportunity with an activity that can be incorporated in the
syllabus of the entrepreneurship or marketing class. Maybe students can come up with different food business proposals and once approved by professors,
these proposals can be implemented and executed in the cafeteria for the whole term. The cafeteria can be a training avenue for the students to test
their food business and at the same time the school is able to address the clamor of students and employees for better food choices. Moreover
the activity will help the students develop and learn skills of what is to be an entrepreneur. A concrete example would be a class of 30 students can
be divided into six groups and the six groups will propose different kind of food ideas that they will sell and market in the cafeteria. The six groups
should be offering various kinds of food and not similar to each other. The professor will then grade the students based on the number of products sold as
well as other indicators.  3.5

NU 12 Week 12 - Business Opportunities You Can Think of

Camille A. Dela Cruz

There are so many business opportunities now but I decided to focus on the opportunities that are not popular here in the Philippines or who don’t even exist in our country. Here are the following business opportunities I can think of:

1.      An Organic SPA located at the provinces in the Philippines.

2.      A man-made lake for Kite Boarding in Laguna.
3.      Organic Ice-cream product.
4.      A retailer store for party favors.
5.      A cleaning home service.
6.      An overnight-weekly parking space near ports and sea terminals.
7.      A stand-alone movie house in Magallanes.
8.      A day care center for working parents or working single parent located in Makati or Ortigas city.
9.    A delivery service for medicines and groceries. The third party agency can tie up with drugstores like Mercury Drug and supermarkets like SM, Robinsons, Rustans, etc. to delivergoods at the doorstep of the customer.
10.  A state of the art gym facility where different sport groups can rent or use the facilities for training and sports development.
11.  A bike rental for those who want to commute using the bike.
12.  A car wash place where there is a coffee shop (Internet included) where customers can wait.
13.  Franchise In and out burger and bring it in the Philippines.
14.  A transportation service that will bring tourist to their resort destination in the north and south Luzon area.
15.  A distribution company that will distribute popular imported alcohol liquor in the Philippines.
16.  A place where women can rent expensive bags.
17.  Library where customers can rent books and read books.
18.  A transportation service that will pick up the customer to there house and bring them to the exact destination.
19.  A mobile hospital where it can provide services in far off areas in the city. Services such as blood extraction, urinalysis, etc.
20.  A service that will fix, organize and archive personal documents.
