NU#12: Interactive Restaurant
Filipinos love to eat!.   We love to go to restaurants, whether it be fast food or gourmet.  We love all types of food.  We love our very own, but we also love to go on adventures, and taste foods of different styles and origins.  We even love exotic food.
A new adventure we could go on is a combination of food and technology.  It starts as one enters.  One is greeted with an interactive robot, which will show you the available tables.  You choose your table, then you take your seats.  At the table, there will be an interactive monitor, which displays 3D versions of the food choices on the menu.  As you use the same monitor, to choose your preferences, it has a calculation on the side.  You already know your bill as you order.  As in any computer, you have to press the ORDER button to confirm that this is your order.  Your order will be repeated, then you must confirm it once again.  If you need assistance, there is a button to summon a server.  There will also be a timer to show you the time elapsed, and if it is following the recommended time on the interactive menu.
The food will be served through conveyer belts running through the side of the tables. This may be served by the server, or self-served.  This will be your option.  Your bill can be printed out through the same monitor, and paid either by card or cash, similar to an ATM Machine, but in a robot form.  For doggie bags, it can be done by the server, or by yourself.  Containers will come also through the food conveyor belt.
Right now, this would be too expensive but, sometime soon, technology will be advanced enough, that this will be feasible, but wouldn't this be such an incredible dining experience? 3.5

NU#11: Whole day Baon Bag
I take care of my nephew and niece, who are in Grade 2 and Grade 4.  Every year, we are on the hunt for the perfect school bag and lunch bag.  The school bag is easier to find, as there are so many places and styles to choose from.  It is the lunch bag, which we have never had a bull's eye on.  It is always too small.  Also, the practical ones are usually made for just lunch, ehich means, they would either have to bring a separate bag for recess, or scrunch up the snacks and extra drink for recess,(am break).
I would like to come up with a Whole Day Baon Bag which will fit the am snacks, pm snacks, and lunch all in one bag.  The base bag would have the proper insulation.  I specifically mentioned bag, and not box, because bags are more flexible, as compared to plastic or metal boxes, which are too structured, there is nothing else that you could place inside.  The material used should be of higher quality (like that of the Australian Brand being sold in Rustan's) so, as to be able to use the bag for years, making it a practical choice.
The bag would have compartmentalized spaces, where one compartment would be the "stacked" Tupperware or stainless containers, 1 for rice, 1 for the viand, and another for soup.  There would be another container for a sandwich or pastry, and another for fruits. Another compartment would be open structure for biscuits, or other snacks. On one side would be 2 zippered pouches attached with a Velcro strip.  One would be for the cutlery and the other, for tissue, wipes, and hand sanitizer.  Lastly, there would be 2 instead of 1 water bottle container outside the bag, so, you have the option of water or juice, or both, in the water bottles, or you could send tetra packs using the water bottle containers.
This new product should be available in most any store, including, department stores, malls, supermarkets and bookstores.  I could even tie up with schools and produce ones with their school logo.  Also, I could offer personalized versions and ones for special occasions. I could also produce different versions, like larger sizes, as picnic bags, or even larger ones as party bags.
Most important though, is , solving my perennial lunch bag hunt.  This would be practical, convenient, and complete! 4

NU#9: New processes at work , study: Paper Tracker Software.
At work, I work with Top Management of the company.  After numerous meetings and years involved with micromanagement and daily operations, I have confirmed a certain trend which a lot of times causes major delays in processes, which equates to opportunity loss, and ultimately income loss.  This is the documents or paper trails for approvals.  It is understood that one process involves a chain of numerous departments.  From the time the processing starts, till the time the goal is achieved, the movement is in "snail mode", sometimes, it gets buried or even lost to oblivion.
This problem has, for a while now, been acknowledged, discussed, and yet, not solved.  We are not a government office but we seem to be functioning like one – full of "RED TAPE"!  The clerk, the boss, or anyone in between could easily block this, and this is possible in each department it passes through.
With the advent of technology, computerizing the whole system is the trend.  It has already been initiated but is not yet in full gear.  But the computer architects should include in their program, paper tracker software.
All business transactions are encoded and can be traced and studied, but all internal documents released, requested, ordered, should also be encoded, but limited to those involved in each process.  This tracker should demolish paper loss.  It will also give all concerned a guide on how the document is moving, decreasing delays, and abolishing red tape.  It will give you the limitations and deadlines.  If all documents are monitored, the concerned will be aware of what needs to processed and how long he has to study, approve or disapprove the request.  If it is delayed, responsibility is accounted for.
But I must reiterate that, access to this should be limited to those concerned, and of course top management. 4

NU#7: Temperature Controlled Body Suits
Though a senior citizens and people who loves to travel would probably have the most use out of this, wouldn't it be great to have a tempered body suit?!....
There is a great variety in the weather and it continues to change everyday.  Comfort is a one of the most important factors, which affects one's way of life.  What gives us comfort everyday, 24 hours a day?  Our protection, our clothing – we use this everyday.  The thing is, not everything we choose to wear is comfortable, and, with the erratic weather nowadays, there would be countless times when we wished we wore something else.
Coincidentally, the trendy nude bodysuit being worn on TV, gave me a perfect solution to everyday comfort wear, thus, the Temperature Controlled Bodysuit.  So, it doesn't matter what time of day, what month of the year, whichever part of the world you are in, this product will give you the temperature you want.  There will no longer be any need for heaters nor air conditioners.  All you need is this body suit and you're good to go.
This is how it is going to work.  It would be taken from the design of heater blankets.  The body suit may be rechargeable or battery operated.  It has a power button, and a temperature control.  It could be manually or automatically controlled from warm to cool temperatures.
It is, of course, more complicated, than how I am conceptualizing it, but , it would be something I know would be embraced by all. 4

NU#6 What pisses you off at the mall?

NU#6: What pisses you off at the mall? Extreme types of sales personnel.
One of the favorite past times of Filipinos is going "Malling".  The funny thing is , in most malls, people literally go malling, as in go to the mall.  They just go around the mall, no intended shopping, if ever, they eat there and go around.  I don't know if this has any effect on the sales people, but I have observed different types of sales people's characters in the malls in general.  What irritates me the most when going to the mall, is the two extreme types of sales representatives.
First, is the passive sales rep.  Whether you have any intention to make a purchase or not, your presence in the store makes you a potential buyer.  It is their job to assist any buyer that comes in their store.  I don't know  whether they slept thought their orientation or it is merely their personality, but don't they at least wonder why they are standing in the store?  Isn't it to assist buyers?  So, why are there sales reps who just stand there, even if they see a customer lingering on an item, looking around with a perplexed look on their face.  Even worse, is when their attention is called, or are asked a question, they give you the most cold and unwelcoming response, as if they just want you to leave already.
Second, is the other end of the spectrum.  There are sales reps , which take too much pride and have so much passion in their work, that when there is a buyer, they put on a predator-prey mode.  They stick to you like a fly to flypaper to the point of total irritation!  I understand that they are suppose to be sort of a "at the becking call" to their buyers but picture this….. You're walking in a store, greeted by all sales reps as you enter (this is great), but when you stop at a certain item, you are entertained by one rep, this is still good….. what is not good is that when they start to gather around you, 8-9 or even 10 reps surrounding you, literally like a potential prey, picking on you, flashing items in your face, giving their sales talk all at the same time!  When this goes on for several minutes, you start to feel like you're drowning, and in a few seconds, all you want to do is run out of the store screaming!  (Yes this has happened to me several times).
I can think of one possible solution for both – Certified Training.  Sales Representation is an art in itself and skills must be developed continuously.  It may even be in house if it's too costly.  I am aware there are training available, but maybe ones highly specialized for their clients.  I don't know if this will help, but it is a first step, the next thing is careful selection or termination.  But this would mean encouraging buyers to complain or evaluate the staff. 3
