What is the safest place for you on the planet? For me, my home!

But with the increasing burglary and kidnappings in the metro, how sure are you that your house is impenetrable?
Most burglars or crooks try to smash down door knobs. Some, especially in the movies, try to pick the locks inside the key hole. And both of those actions ends up with the same result, crooks will definitely get inside your house. But what if your door knob is not just an ordinary one?!?!?!
My idea, key-hole-less door knob with high-tech locks system.
You might say that there are existing door knobs that doesn't use keys, you're right, but mine is different. My door knob will just be the usual door knob you see on each and every house. What's different is on the knob itself. The whole knob will be a sensor that can read your palm and finger prints once you touch it. Your prints are the only one that can activate and deactivate the locks. Also, this door knob will be equipped with locks that are same as the locks on bank vaults, smaller version though, but same quality.
Now with this door knob even the strongest crooks cannot smash down or enter your house! 4

NU 12 by PL - Cars with Internet and HUD

Here is my NuIdea for this week.

You're in the middle of a highway, stuck in traffic and running late for office. Suddenly your boss calls and he wants you to check your email or check the internet for something that is very important, so important that it will make or break your career. There's no gasoline station near you so that you can stop and connect to a free wi-fi. If there's one, connection is so slow that it will take you hours before going to one page to another. What will you do? You might say mobile phones can do the trick but still this hand held phones still have limits when you use it on the road.
Isn't it so convenient if your car is also a PC and has an internet connection?! Especially now that everything is high-tech and computer aided. So I believe this thing is possible.
There will be a button that when pressed, one-fourth of your wind shield will turn into your monitor. There's no need of a keyboard because everything will be voiced activated. Speakers of your car will act as the receiver when you speak.
For example, you need to check your Yahoo mail.
Step 1: press the "button" so that the monitor will appear on your wind shield.
Step 2: say "go to yahoomail.com" (computer will type it automatically and will direct you to the site)
Step 3: say "user name Juan dela Cruz; password pinoy" (again, computer will type this for you)
Step 4: just say what file or the senders name so that the computer will open the message
Step 5: either you read the email or just say "computer read" so that the computer will be the one reading it and you will hear the message in your speakers.
Step 6: if you want to reply, you just need to say "reply" then say your message and the computer will automatically type your message.
Step 7: if done, just say "send"
When checking websites:
Step 1: press the "button" so that the monitor will appear on your wind shield.
Step 2: say the website you want to visit (computer will type it automatically and will direct you to the site)
Step 3: do your browsing
One might say that this can cause accidents because the driver's attention will be divided. So to control this, computer will only be activated if the car is in parked mode or stopped. If you are in the middle of the road, you need to use the shoulder lane or emergency bay so that you can stop and do your thing in the computers. If you will try to activate the computer while driving, the car will automatically slow down until it stops completely. 4

When we are not in the convenience of our home, we usually drink coffee or tea on a tumbler. As we can see the demand for a tumbler rises so high that everywhere you go, tiangge, department stores, café's, sells these stuffs.
I usually drink my coffee on a tumbler when I' am in the office. Why, because tumblers preserve heat better and it is more appealing than a mug or a cup.
But for sure most of us have experienced this; you just made a nice hot coffee then suddenly your boss or anyone in your office calls your attention, asks you for a short meeting or whatsoever. Now, you don't have any choice but to leave your nice hot coffee on your table and wait for that damn meeting to finish.
After a few hours inside a non sense meeting, you are now very excited to go back at your table, grab your tumbler and sip the nice hot coffee that you made and left a couple of hours ago. But instead of tasting the hot and aromatic coffee, what's left for you is a cold coffee to drink. And now you're pissed!!!
Now my question, what will most of us do with that cold coffee? We usually throw it in the sink and make another one. Well there's no problem on throwing that away, but it will turn out very costly for you.
So what's my idea? An electric-self-heating-tumbler!!!!!!
How does this electric-self-heating-tumbler works, same as an electric kettle! Put your tumbler on top of the base, plug it in, press the button to heat, and then after a few seconds… VIOLA! Your coffee is reheated! No more throwing of cold coffee, no more wastage  3

NU 12 by Paolo Lino - Ice Cold Pews

Prof Jorge.

ICE-COLD-PEW
Every Sunday my family and I make sure that even with our busy schedule we see to it that we go to church and hear mass.
Most of the churches here in the country still don't have air-conditioning. Meaning that hearing mass in the middle of the day or early afternoon is such a hassle. Hassle in a way that you cannot concentrate listening to the priest because of the scourging heat. A little movement will let you perspire profusely!
We usually attend mass 4pm or 6pm inside a mall where there is air-conditioning to escape the heat. But yesterday my dad decided to attend the 11am mass in a church that has no air-conditioning!  Sitting inside the church, in a middle of the day, in the middle of the crowd trying to squeeze their way in to avoid the sun's rays, with an electric fan that is so high in the ceiling that you can't even feel the air in it; feels like Holy Week again but this time I'm the one who's making "penitensya"!< baka naman allergic sa misa? joke>
So with that an idea suddenly popped into my mind!
Right now even some churches with air-conditioning are still having a hard time beating the summer heat; some of us still use a hand-fan or "pamaypay". To beat that feeling of uneasiness during mass I thought of maybe it's a good idea to have a pew that can be plugged-in then after a few seconds it will be an ice-cold-pew! Okay, maybe not as ice-cold, but something cold that when you sit down you will be able to say "aaaaahhhhh, that's nice"!
Have you ever tried leaving your room with your air-condition turned on. How does it feel when you get back inside then you sit on your chair or lie down on your bed?  Feels good isn't it! It's like you don't want to get up again and just stay there! That's the feeling I want to feel during mass. And with this kind of pew, for sure everyone will be listening to whatever the priest is talking about.
Most church goers feels lazy going to mass because of the hot weather. They don't want to go out of their air-conditioned houses or rooms. Now, with this kind of pew inside churches there will be no excuses for them not to attend mass.  < 4 >

NU 12 by Paolo Lino - GPS device in Kid's Shoes

Prof. Jorge,

After writing my first "New Idea" for this Entrepreneurship class, I still got 11 more to go.
I've been married for almost over a year now and in that short period of time God blessed us with a very very pretty daughter, Olivia. She's very "bibbo", active, wise, playful, and the qualities will keep going and going if I should right all her qualities here.
At the age of 10 months my daughter started walking with my help, but just after a few weeks she can walk by herself. Now she runs and sometimes even hates when I hold her hand while walking. She wants to be independent, walk and run around malls. And because of that I thought of this new idea.
Every parent's worst nightmare is to lose sight of their baby in a large crowd while playing in the malls or in the park. I, myself, won't take my eyes off of my daughter. But sometimes there are instances that I will get distracted. Maybe someone from the crowd will call my name, then I will try to look for that person who called me, then in a matter of seconds my kid is not in my sight anymore. But luckily that never happened. But what if it did happen? What will I do?
In this new idea, I thought of putting a GPS device in every shoe that kids will wear.  It will act like a tracking device where you can see every movement and or every place your kid will go.
How will it benefit me and others?
My wife and I love going to malls with our daughter. We love seeing her walking around and playing with other kids. And for sure we are not the only parents who love seeing their kids having fun. If my daughter and every kid have this GPS attached on their shoes, then the concern of losing our child may not be eliminated but it can surely lessen the said feeling. Now every parent knows where their little angel is.
A GPS costs more than a thousand bucks. And putting this technology on a pair shoes can cost even higher. But are there any parents out there who will not buy the best for their kids, knowing it's for their safety, I guess NONE!
So in conclusion, if I will be given a chance to produce this kind of shoes and let my kid wear it, I will be definitely the first one!!! 4 < a transponder?  rfid>
