NU 12 by Anton Pantoja - New ventilation system for bakery
Hi Sir Jorge,
In our new baking facility, there are large windows but it seems to still be very hot and humid. Upon walking, I found out that only one side of the production is well ventilated. The other part lets in little air because only a small screened gate exists. We cannot add windows anymore to that side of the production because we are surrounded by neighbors' firewalls. Instead of using mechanical blowers to drive air in, I thought about revising the roof design of that area such that it will let natural air in. It will still be screened off to prevent pests and vermin from entering the production. This renovation will entail cost of around P30,000 but the savings on the electric bill will outweigh the cost of the renovation over a span of 2 years. 4. Great
Thanks.

NU 12 by Anton Pantoja - organic vegetable farm
Hi Prof Jorge,
Our family eats a lot of vegetables. My father is practically a vegetarian. We have a small garden at the back of our house that has ornamental plants. My idea is to convert our garden into a small organic farm. The biodegradable substances from our kitchen can be turned into compost and in turn be used as fertilizer for the farm. I was thinking of planting high turnover vegetables in one section of the garden first like malunggay, tomatoes, corn, okra, sayote. Another section could house the kalabasa, string beans, upo, and other vine vegetables. After the first harvest , I'm thinking of planting fruit bearing trees like kalamansi, papaya, banana lacatan, banana saba, which we also buy from the grocery. We can use our harvest for our own food supply instead of buying from the grocery, whose produce are chock full of fertilizers and insecticides. 3
Thank you.

Nu 12 by A Pantoja - Food Holder While Driving
Dear Sir Jorge,
Please find my new idea number 7:
People are always on the go. Hence the proliferation of fast food joints where you can take out a meal and eat on the road. The other night, we were on our way home in my friend's car. The driver (my friend), ordered Mc Donald's. I saw that he was having a hard time holding his food while eating and driving at the same time.
My idea is this. An automated food holder that will hold on to your food like your hand. With one press of a button, the food goes near your mouth and then you can bite it with out having to worry about spilling your food. It will also have a beverage holder module that is connected to the left hand side of the driver so with one press of a button, the drink automatically goes near the mouth and all the driver has to do is sip. This will likely reduce road accidents. 3
Thank you Sir.

New Idea 6 of Anthony Pantoja - Smartphone with Projector Capabilities
Hi Sir Jorge,
My new idea for the week is this:
A smart phone with projector capabilities. Have you ever noticed how people carry phones and netbooks/iPads separately? Why not carry just one? This idea melds the powerful smart phone technologies of today with an added projecting capability, so that when presentation time comes, the user only needs to take out his phone and project it in a white surface. This will make our lives simpler. 4 (Samsung yata meron nang ganito pero di pa inilalabas?)

NU 12 by Anton Pantoja - What to do with Indian Mango
Hi Prof. Jorge,
Please see my new idea for this week:
I saw how our Indian mango tree in Batangas bears a lot of fruit than we can eat. We tried selling it but we only gained a miniscule profit. Last year, we were not able to harvest the mangoes and so they were ripened and fell down to the ground.
Next year, we are planning to harvest them when ripe and make jam and filling out of it. This can be used for cakes, pies, additive for butter icings, empanada, etc. We can then make other bread using this mango jam filling. This way, we can utilize the fruits of our mango tree and make money out of it. 3 <Irvinga Mango seeds, African mango is used for slimming, the seeds that is >
Thanks sir.
Regards,
Ton
