The recent findings of Harvard University scholar on Divinity Karen L. King indicates that Jesus Christ may have had a wife. This was found in a 4th century papyrus, dubbed as the Gospel of Jesus Wife, tells of of a text of "My mother(2x)and then my wife."  It does not however prove that Jesus was in fact married. King specializes in Coptic studies.

The dating of the papyrus, which is only about size of calling card, has not been verified.

There were questions as to whether my wife, refers to the church.  But King said that in the context of mother, disciples, King said it is doubtful.

What this finding simply shows that the debate on marriage  and sexuality of early church is not over.
