In order to adapt to the changing environment and competition, car manufacturers are on top of innovation on the following areas:

l.  fuel economy
2.  local suppliers
3.   low carbon emissions
4.  eco friendly materials (non toxic)
5.  drive train technology
6.  modular transverse toolkit (in assembly?)

The greatest concern are fuel economy (fossil fuel is becoming scarce) and emissions (to arrest global warming)
