What pisses you off in your neighborhood?
One of the things that pisses me in our neighborhood are the cars which are double parked thus it makes it quite difficult to pass and drive through. It really becomes a concern especially when you are in a hurry or worse when there are emergencies and you cannot get through.
Here are my suggestions which I hope can be considered by the community leaders since election time is forthcoming:
1. Community leaders meet to make policies and implementation strategies regarding parking rules.
2. No Parking along the road during specific hours of 6-9AM and 5-9PM. This is usually the busy hours, kids go to school and adults go to the office, and at night time they return to their homes.
3. Involve the baranggay tanods by making it part of their duties to remind car owners that no parking rules will be implemented during specific hours.
4. Implement punishment for those who will not follow the community rules. For first offense, a fine of Php 500 will be collected. For the second offense, the car will be towed and can be retrieved by the owner in the towing area. The collected fee of Php 500 can be added to the salaries of the baranggay tanods.
5. Allot specific parking area for the community which can be used by car owners who do not have enough parking space in their homes. This parking area can be privately owned or can be run by the community leaders. 3
