Compassion in Dr patient relationship
Compassion in Dr patient relationship
Compassion – defined as sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it. This is a trait that every physician or any individual must have. It is the doctors' duty and responsibility to treat a person that has an illness causing him or her sickness because it is the nature of the profession. However as to what I think, the doctor-patient relationship or for any other relationship in general to work, each party must be compassionate to each other especially a doctor to his or her patient. It is to me the same as putting yourself into another person's shoes and wanting to do the exact opposite of what this person is going through and if not, at least better than what he or she is suffering from. 3
"What you seek, you already are. True success is discovering your inner divinity - it's the ability to love and have compassion, trust your intuition, and awaken to your unlimited creative nature." - Deepak Chopra.
