NU12 - What pisses you at the office? What must be done? by Rhea Jardin

Our business in engage in stock trading and it is very vital that no interruptions will be experience during trading hours. One interruption that we had however, was when we experience sudden brownout in the area because an electric transformer overloaded and thus power was shut down for almost an hour. Although the building has its own generator, the electricity was not immediately restored in our office and so we were not able to post some of our clients' trade orders.
To solve this situation, I suggest that the company invest in solar power panel for its electricity source. The solar panel could be built to supply electricity particularly to our trading system to prevent disruptions during trading. Although solar panel could be quite costly, this would still be helpful in our cost cutting measures because electricity consumption through Meralco would be lessen and would eventually lower down our huge electric bills. Furthermore, the acquisition cost of a solar power panel, although expensive, is far better than losing a trade order and eventually losing the client itself. <author?>
