L argenine has been traditionally used for body building. But it can be useful also for treating heart disease.
It is interesting story that 3 Americans who discovered the benefits of L Argenine were given Nobel prize. Alfred Nobel discovered nitroglycerin for destuctive purposes. Yet nitroglycerin has been used effectively for angina over the years. The action of nitrogen in nitroglycerin is the same as that of nitrous oxide in removal of inflammation and plaques in blood vessels. And how could this happen? Nitrous oxide is a pollutant from vehicle emission?
This is a good substitute for statins which were found to have side effects: like loss of memory and even diabetes.
There was a story about Dr. Joseph Prendergast who was declared dead by hospital; for l6 years, he did not bring a single patient to the hospital. Reason, as a beneficiary of the L argenine treatment (he was able to remove an atherioscletic condition using L- argenine.
