NU#4: New products / product improvements: New Generation Emergency Lights
Blackouts are a rare thing nowadays having generators is no longer an uncommon thing.  So, one can imagine the major inconvenience one may experience when one evening, you come home and there is no electricity.  Since, one relies on generator power, for emergencies, a blackout is a bad experience when the kids still need to study, and you have a ton of reading and work to do.  Unfortunately, the generator couldn't be used.  Then, I started to wonder also, what could be done if it happened in the hospital, and there was an ongoing OR, IV insertion or code blue in the Intensive Care Unit.  For these vital units, a regular emergency light would have no use.
So, what if  a new kind of light bulb could be designed.  One which can double as an emergency light.  The quality or intensity of that light bulb would be equal or at least very close to that when it is using regular Meralco power.  This light bulb would charge while it is on regular electricity, so anytime the power has a sudden shut off, it automatically goes on.  Since this lightbulb is used as the lightbulb for all the lights, it would be as if there was regular electricity and everything could be business as usual.  Now, if it could be the same for the OR lights, there would be no disruption to any procedures. < we have very powerful LED lamps used in biking>
Also, wouldn't it be even better if the LED technology could be used on this lightbulb?  This would mean savings on electricity, and convenience for all.  Plus LED lights supposedly lasts for around 8 years, so that means these lightsbulbs would not need any changing for that long.  What a super saver it would be….  The only thought we need to work on is how much this light bulb would cost.  Hopefully, in the long run, it will still be worthwhile savings. 4
