Pros and Cons of Lightweight concrete

Despite the current controversy surrounding the use of lightweight concrete as floorings, the costs outweighs the disadvantage like the waterproofing characteristics.  Lightweight concrete do not use he usual aggregates but instead use porous binding materials thus considereably reducing cost.

Cost savings over all ( in terms in savings in cost of other supporting structure and building costs) could be as much as $3.00 per square foot.
