food trip

The establishments we tried to assess for our food trip include Banana Leaf for lunch, Sugarhouse for dessert and Draft for coffee and drinks. In Banana Leaf, they offered Asian cuisine with emphasis on Thai foods. As expected, most of their dishes are chili based and full of spices. The soup was hot, full of flavor and cooked just right. Their viands were spicy as well.  As their name implies, banana leaves are used as plates and their service is quite fast and efficient. The ambiance is quite ordinary and it's a place where you just want to fill up your satiety. The staff is dressed in Thai costumes to imply their motif is Asian. There is no new innovation in their business because I've been dining in their place for quite a while and it is just the same ever since. I just love their pati bread that's why I've been going back to their place. The business is quite successful since they have been there for a long time and many diners have patronized their food. The Sugarhouse is offering mostly desserts. Their apple pie is their signature product because many diners love this dessert. However, I'm not a fan of eating desserts including cakes hence I did not appreciate it much. Their cakes are too sweet. Their business is probably successful because they've been thriving in Rockwell mall. Draft is more of a bar and restaurant. They cater to young working group. They offered an extensive concoctions of alcoholic drinks and their food, which is more of western types like burgers, pasta and cheese is just complimentary to their bar. The best time to dine here is in the evening where drinking starts.  <business concept, differentiation, business model?>
