Great strides have been made into the renewable energy source research. One of them, spurred by the Fukushima nuclear reactor meltdown during the tsunami disaster 2 years ago, motivated Japanese scientist to look further into the wind turbine technology. This discovery can triple (even 5x) the current output of wind turbine, just by adding the lens, hence lessening dependence on nuclear power which can be harmful (the radioactive waste)
