NU12#7 - What pisses you off at the neighborhood ?- Nelle Canta

“WHAT PISSES YOU OFF AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD?”

Since I’m working in a real estate company, I am very much aware of the standards on how to maintain a peaceful and orderly neighbourhood. Not every village follows a deed of restrictions that will serve as a guide and policy, so there will always be a presence of different forms of nuisance.
In parking of more than 2 cars outside the house, this not just consumes the space of their neighbours, but makes the road narrower, especially if the right of way is narrower than 6 meters. Sometimes, old cars that looked like a permanent fixture on the road, with vines growing already on the dashboard, should be disposed already in car shops. In the deed of restrictions of Ayala Land, they do not allow more than 1 car parked in front of your property. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide a parking space for their vehicles. Your luxury is your responsibility.
Another irritating thing is a group of rowdy boys or yuppies who get together and have some alcoholic drinking session until the wee hours in the morning. They create irritating noise with their loud, shrill voices and make it even worse with loud music. These people should pay respect to the rest hours of their neighbours. The village should set a curfew on parties if the party will be held outside the house (ex. veranda, patio, open garden), on which area is open and noise can be easily heard.
People who walk around shirtless will portray the image of a goon. These people should dress appropriately. There should also be a governing policy on people who loiter around the neighbourhood without a shirt. It ruins also the image of the developer. People who would like transfer to our village might change their mind as they would think that the village is not a good and safe place to live in.
Another thing that pisses me of in the neighbourhood is the improper way of disposal of trashes. People should have their trashes segregated. There are biodegradable, non-biodegradable, plastics, glasses, bottles, e-wastes, and so on. The village should provide common segregated trash cans per street. This will help the people in the village be disciplined and responsible.
