Ateneo Innovation and Entrepreneurship "New ideas create more and better new products and services; create more wealth."

From World Architecture News

The world's first light emitting concrete panels has been developed in Aachem Germany by Lucem.  This was used in the Media Facade and opened last December and located in RWTH Aachen University.  This was designed by architects Carpus and partner.  And each panel measures 50 x l50 cm and contains fiber optic fibers (about 3%)   The project is 30 meters long x  4 meters and contain 136 panels.  The fiber optic lighting is controlled by internet based DMX system.  The lights become brighter by sunset.

The new technology opens a new lot of possibilities for design and construction.  Houses and structure could be made more attractive and used effectively for mdia displays.

There are three types of Lucem light emitting concrete panels.
