Reversible Pants

80% of people I know use their pants more than once before washing them. “Sayang sa laba” is a usual phrase you would hear them say.
In one of my company conventions which was a 3 day 2 night event. I noticed that many colleagues of mine wore only 1 pair of pants for the 3 day event. Actually the reason I noticed is that I was also guilty of wearing my jeans more than once.
Then it hit me that if there are reversible jackets, then why shouldn’t there be reversible pants?
This solves at least 3 usual problems that I usually encounter. One is already said earlier. During trips, I prefer to travel light so having reversible pants would benefit me because the people during the trip won’t notice that I’m just recycling my pants (unless my pants stink).
Second is I have limited wardrobe. People like me who rarely shop would automatically multiply their wardrobe by just buying jeans that are reversible.  I believe it would cost more but I am a believer that if something can be used for a long period of time, then it is ok to spend for a premium item.
Third is there are times that due to fortuitous events, your clothes get dirty or ruined. For me, it is very often that my dog gets excited when I go out and he just wants to hug me. The problem is his paw prints would appear on my pants.
It is ok because you can easily remove dry dust but what if it rained and the paw prints were muddy? This is where reversible pants come in. you can just hide the stains for the meantime before you can go home.
Clothing companies should recognize this niche in the market. I believe that the cost may increase at least 50% more but I believe that there is a definite demand for these things as long as the marketing strategy is good. 4
