Pictures on Credit Cards

A big chunk of our population use credit cards. They are already a part of everyday life because of the convenience of not bringing large amounts of money when you shop and the advantage of paying for expensive items on installment.
A credit card has made its users more liquid.
There are also cards that offer rebates for groceries, medicine, gasoline etc. These advantages are also a reason why people use them.
One big issue with having credit cards is the security. There are many security features on credit cards to prevent different kinds of fraud. Others are standard operating procedures for merchants to protect the users.
One security standard is that when you purchase you should present an ID. This is a hassle for some because what if you happen to forget your ID or maybe what happened with me is that my PRC ID has a very faded picture of me. This prevented me from making the purchase because the picture was not recognizable.
This brought me to think that there should already be pictures of the user of these cards on the face of the credit card. This would ease up transactions and make it more efficient.
I think the reason that they do not do it is because it would be more expensive for the card company to personalize the card not to mention the extra time needed to take a photo from the customer. But I think if the extra effort would result in a better service, then I am willing to wait. 3
