NU 12- What pisses me off at the school – Joseph Cunanan
Ateneo Innovation and Entrepreneurship
"New ideas create more and better new products and services; create more wealth."
There are actually 2 things I hate at the school.
First, is the level of customer I receive every time I call the registrar. Most of the time, I feel like the
people who answer the phone don’t even want to help, always in a hurry, and there was even a time
that one person made me feel stupid because I cant seem to figure out what’s going on with my online
account. I recommend that:
a. The people at the registrar be taught on some principles of customer service. When students call,
they must be able to provide assistance that we need. We pay tuition fees and that includes the
service we get from all departments within the university, so we deserve a better service.
b. Students must also be given a chance provide feedback not only about their professors but also
with their experience with school personnel like guards, registrar, library etc. This way, the school
can provide the best student experience from all aspects of school offerings.
The second thing I hate about the school is the inconsistency amongst professors who teach the same
course/ subject. I understand that each professor has their own teaching techniques, but there are
occasions that not all professors are able to deliver what is written on the syllabus. Ergo, students tend to compare one professor over another. I think it will be better if professors are calibrated, so that
regardless to which class a student attend to, everyone will get the same maximum benefits from the
courses we will take.3.5
