Professionalism – new practice
When you shop in the grocery and
in the mall, you would notice that almost every store is not using plastic bags
anymore. This is because everyone now is taking action to live the green
living. Plastic bags just produce wastes and are non-biodegradable, which are
very harmful to our environment. It is now becoming a practice to use paper
bags, instead of plastic bags.
An example is SM Hypermarket’s BYOB
(bring your own bag) campaign. There are certain days that the shoppers should
bring their own bag. This is a gradual approach on the new practice. If the
market is already used to it, then the campaign will be successful.
Another practice is giving of
water to diners per request. I have noticed that the water is being given per
request to avoid water wastage. This also applies on giving of tissues per
request. Establishments are now practicing the green living.
