Vacant Seats Display in Buses

There are a total of 12,689 number of buses in Metro Manila. 3,732 are in EDSA alone.
I am a bus rider myself and It pisses me off when you wait for buses that are not standing-room-only only to find out that you are the first person in the bus to stand (everyone else is sitting).
I think this is a problem for many people especially the persons with disability (PWD) and the elderly who are not as physically gifted as other people. These people usually wait for buses that they can sit at.
Imagine your lola left to stand because there is no more seat. This led me to the Idea that there should be vacant seats displays on the front of the bus.
It could be like in the parking spaces nowadays where there are sensors when a car is parked. There would be pressure sensors on seats to update the display once someone is seated. This could be expensive at first but I believe that bus companies are earning a lot which means they can shoulder the cost of such technology.
In the meantime, if the bus operators cannot afford it, the conductor can simply count the vacant seats and update the display (which could be just paper by the way) every time the seat becomes vacant or occupied. 4
