What is solar aircon? What is the benefit to your wallet?
I just learned it from the talk of Rose Montenegro on Makati Med last Saturday - March 17, 2013
It is just like your ordinary aircon except that it uses a solar collector that you normally use for a solar water heater. It does not use solar panels that generate electricity.
The solar collector superheats the refrigerant thereby saving electric power for the compressor. The solar collector works during the day and the conventional compressor works at night.
The technology is available in the PHL c/o of California Electronics. An installation conversion will cost PHP19,000.00
An entire system can cost P38,000.00
